A special (no chicken please) hotel meal was enjoyed by all, with a delicious caesar salad, pasta alfredo, bread stick and a great dessert!

 

The not-so-dynamic duo of Foghorn & Panchito, served up a variety of information in regards to ChickenFest 2025, called "Egg-onomics 101."

 

Throughout the presentation, a number of well know celebrity guests and/or their representatives made cameo appearances to answer the question:  "Why did the chicken cross the road".  Thankyou to: Jack "Mark Carney" Peterson, Terry "Mark Chipman" Dick, Kelly "Scott Gillingham" Ryback, and Al "Eugene Levy" Goddard.

 

ChickenFest 2025 was another resounding success, and special acknowledgements were made to the entire Chicken Delight team including th enspired ownership team of Tushar & Pinal Sukhadiya, and Dipak Koladiya, Director of Operations - Joe Da Silva, Eneas Smythe and all the Winnipeg franchise locations.

 

Also recognized were "never to retire" Stan Rybuck for dealing with the new on-line ordering system and Bob Foster for his special effort in bringing in new business in the form of the District Conference Viewing party, WestMinster Housing Board Mtg. and improved involvement of our Cadets squadron.

 

The Egg-onomics analysis of ChickenFest 2025 included a look at the customer acquisition and CRM capabilities of the Zeffy system.  Numbers related to order size, order type, drink selection, preferred order times and day of week were discussed with the point being that the Zeffy platform gives us the ability to easily extract and analyze the data and will help us make strategic decisions going forward.

 

Looking forward to 2026, our diamond anniversary of ChickenFest, Foghorn & Panchito invited any and all to join in the fun and become part of the planning committee. Jack Peterson gets a special nod for his early work on merging the new on-line system with our current ChickenFest operations program.  We'll be ready for 2026!

 

Presentation to this year's signature project Children's Rehabilitation Foundation's Summer Camp Program was made with Foghorn, Panchito and President Bob presenting the proceeds to CRF.

How do I print the new online newsletter? It looks good on my phone/tablet/desktop, but sometimes I like to print a hard copy to read later.

 

• Open the Print Dialog: Press Ctrl + P on a PC or Cmd + P on a Mac.
• Adjust Scaling: In the print dialog box, look for an option like "Scale," "Page Sizing & Handling," or "Fit to Page."
  • Fit/Shrink to Page: This is often the simplest option. Select "Fit" or "Shrink Oversized Pages" to automatically resize the content to fit the paper. This is perfect for when the online newsletter is slightly larger than a standard page.
  • Custom Scale: For more control, choose a "Custom Scale" and manually enter a percentage to enlarge the content. You may need to experiment with different percentages to get the ideal fit.
• Choose Paper Size and Orientation: Ensure the "Paper Size" is set to Letter (8.5 x 11 inches). You might also need to change the orientation to Portrait (for taller pages) or Landscape (for wider pages) to best accommodate the newsletter's layout.
• Preview and Print: Use the print preview to see how the newsletter will look on the paper. This is an essential step to avoid cutting off content. Once you're satisfied, click Print.

• Save the Newsletter as a PDF:
  • Open the browser's print dialog (Ctrl+P or Cmd+P).
  • Instead of selecting your physical printer, choose a "Destination" like "Save as PDF" or "Microsoft Print to PDF."
  • Save the file to your computer.
• Open and Print the PDF:
  • Open the saved PDF file with a dedicated PDF reader, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader (a free program).
  • Open the print dialog within the PDF reader.
  • Look for the "Page Sizing & Handling" or a similar section.
  • Choose "Poster" or "Tile" to break the oversized page into multiple letter-sized sheets.
  • You can often adjust the Tile Scale and Overlap settings here.
  • Use the print preview to confirm the layout and then print.
