ChickenFest is our Club’s major fundraiser. Each year we deliver meals to workplaces all over Winnipeg. With our corporate partner, Chicken Delight of Canada Ltd., we dedicate our respective teams to sell, promote, schedule and deliver lunches and dinners across the city. No order is too big or too small.
Rotarians give of their time (and vehicles) to deliver orders to offices, warehouses, factories and schools. Smaller orders can be picked up at one of 10 Chicken Delight locations making it a convenient way to support a truly community event. It’s a huge undertaking each year with months of planning and execution.
Why all the fuss? Our mission “TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE” drives us to raise funds to support our charitable work in the city. With a keen focus on youth, we choose a worthy Signature Project each year. This year we chose the Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation’s summer camp program. By supporting the camp, we help kids with disabilities enjoy the camp experience, enriching their lives.
This year was our 74th year of “ChickenFesting”, making us one of Winnipeg’s longest running charity events. Next year, we will be celebrating our diamond anniversary.
