The Rotary Club of Winnipeg West acknowledges that our meetings, held virtually or in-person, are held on Treaty One lands. We do this to reaffirm our commitment and responsibility in improving relationships between nations and to improving our own understanding of local Inuit, Metis, and First Nations Peoples and their cultures and rights.
We recognize that the clean water we are drinking is sourced from the Shoal Lake 40 First Nation.
Today's Visitors
Today we were pleased to welcome Maggie & Allan - Rotary Club of Calgary West. They are on a driving trip to the east coast. Maybe we'll see them on their return trip.
August 6 No Formal Program Today
With no formal program today President Bob stepped up to the podium and shared some thoughts about how fortunate we are to be Canadians. A recent visit to Brookside Cemetery gave Bob pause to reflect on how fortunate we are to live in a country where we have avoided the ravages of war. Bob shared some of his observations from travel around the globe.
Bert Wold - Lights Up The Room
