The Rotary Club of Winnipeg West acknowledges that our meetings, held virtually or in-person, are held on Treaty One lands. We do this to reaffirm our commitment and responsibility in improving relationships between nations and to improving our own understanding of local Inuit, Metis, and First Nations Peoples and their cultures and rights.
We recognize that the clean water we are drinking is sourced from the Shoal Lake 40 First Nation.
October 16 - Meeting Program
No formal speaker today so the "program" was a general round table discussion hi-lighted by an update by Fred Morris & Kelly Ryback on their work to improve the Winnipeg Transit situation in St. James.
Remember our ChickenFest launch when we were treated to the music provided by the Woodhaven MenShed organization? Well, we were updated on their activities and teased that this may be the topic of a future speaker presentation.
On Thursday, October 9, our fellowship lunch was held at the Silver Heights Restaurant, where we enjoyed a great meal and fellowship.
Thanks Kelly for booking the venue!
Winnipeg's longest running family restaurant.
